Chucky Trill, whose real name was Corey Detiege, a rising rapper from Houston, Texas, was shot and killed in Atlanta, Georgia.

On Monday, in what would be one of his final interviews, Trill spoke about how he had always wanted to follow in the footsteps of his father in the music industry.

“I never wanted to be like Kobe Bryant, Michael Jordan … none of that. I wanted to be like my dad,” he said on The Donnie Houston Podcast. “I don’t have to idolize a guy on TV or a fictional character. My OG was my dad.”
