Derek was born on March 28, 1991 in Bakersfield, California, making his nationality American. He is the youngest son of Rodger and Sheryl Carr and grew up with two older brothers, David and Darren Carr.
Talking about his education, he attended Clements High School in Sugar Land, Texas. Later in his life, the Carr family returned to Bakersfield for Derek’s college studies. There he joined Bakersfield Christian High School.
But speaking of his football career, he started earlier at Clement High School, where he played as the team’s backup quarterback. As a sophomore, he had passed for 1,246 yards and 12 touchdowns. He is one of the few athletes who made rapid progress in this sport. Later, in his later years, he led his team to a 12-1 record and the Central Division Championship V. In 2014, the Oakland Raiders selected De rek to the 2 North DakotaNFL round. Carr signed a five-year, $70 million contract with a $12.5 million signing bonus in mid-2017.
