Derrick Ward Biography

Derrick Ward is an American journalist working as a general assignment reporter for News4  Washington covering the DMV. (District, Maryland, Virginia). He is a native of the District of Columbia.

He started his work in radio journalism. He has reported for WPFW, WAMU, and WTOP, covering big stories including the Iran-Contra trials, the Sept. 11 attack on the Pentagon, and the sniper shootings in the Washington area. He started his television reporting work at WKBW-TV in Buffalo.
