Amen Church, a Dallas-based church that had collapsed spectacularly and permanently closed its doors, has reportedly put an end to its sorrow.

Three months ago, Dr. Field Harrison, founder of the Amen Church, surprised attendees at the ‘Amen Nights’ worship concert by criticizing the Bible’s source and openly supporting LGBTQ.

“There are a few individuals who want to view the whole Bible as equal, just not this guy,” he told the crowd. After hearing what was said, Harrison was shocked to see the audience rise to leave instead of speaking up for the voiceless.

When was the Amen Church founded?

By the conclusion of 2021, Dr. Field Harrison and his wife Sabrina founded Amen Church in Dallas, Texas. It is worth noting that Dr. Harrison’s expertise lies in dentistry rather than theology, distinguishing his professional background.

Harrison made a heartfelt commitment to contribute tithes to charitable causes, specifically benefiting homeless shelters and hospitals. This exceptional act sets the church apart, as it operates solely with volunteers and doesn’t employ any paid staff members.

He says, “You don’t have to be a pastor to grow the church,” in a message that has since been removed from their “About Me” page. Everyone who follows Jesus is obligated to do it. 

A year ago, he received a diagnosis of tinnitus, which caused intense ringing and made it difficult for him to fall asleep. Harrison claimed he realized it was time to found his church at that point. 

I felt called to do it before my ears began to ring out of the blue. He stated that I just knew it was time when my ears started to ring. 

He therefore set out to discover the ideal location and succeeded.  For a year, Harrison has rented the Meyerson Symphony Center to hold Sunday morning services.

Harrison remarked, “I went through and thought how fantastic if we could have church here.”

What did Harrison’s wife claim about the whole scenario?

His wife Sabrina claimed that when she was reading the Bible, the church’s name just occurred to her. So that’s the one word she reads every day when reading the Bible, and it’s one of God’s names. Sabrina Harrison remarked, “So when I read ‘amen,’ I knew right away.

The Harrisons claimed that their church is special because everyone who works there is a volunteer, including them.

Harrison stated, “We want to improve the church’s reputation so that no one can accuse this church of being self-serving or self-promoting.”

He claimed that they intend to donate all of the money they get in donations to the neighborhood. The Harrisons claimed that they are aware of how unique what they are doing is, but that’s the point—to reach the marginalized.   

As Harrison stated, “I am so passionate about my faith and in this season, being doers of the word and not just hearers and put our faith into action,”

The Harrisons claimed that a string of miracles brought them to the location, and they now hope that it will inspire others.
