William Michale Hayden is an American former gunsmith, television personality, American Gun and Navy store manager. He is popular as the host of Sons of Guns from 2011-2014 on the Discovery Channel reality series. He was convicted of sex crimes, received three life sentences in April and July 2017, and is currently serving those sentences at the Louisiana State Penitentiary.

The reality television beginning was born on June 24, 1965 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and is of part Choctaw descent. He was a gun enthusiast from a young age and often wrote about guns and battle.

Hayden has survived a large house fire as a “three or four year old” child. In a 2011 interview, he said that he remembered, “waking up with the fire, ‘eating’ me… burning the bed, the sheets, the space.” The reality star also reported that in an article titled Sons of Guns: Straight-Shootin’ Stories from the Star of the Hit Discovery Show, he was abused by his father.
